The GrillSymbol Chef XL Charcoal Grill blends classic barbecue design with modern engineering and premium materials. Crafted from 3 mm Corten steel with stainless steel components, this is a heavy-duty charcoal BBQ designed for year-round outdoor use in the UK climate.

Launched as an upgraded model in 2024, the Chef XL delivers improved airflow, larger charcoal trays, skewer fixings and a spacious stainless steel shelf, making it a serious performer for home cooks and outdoor entertainers alike.

Heavy-Duty Corten Steel Construction

Built the way grills used to be made, the Chef XL uses thick Corten steel to maintain stable cooking temperatures and deliver consistent grilling results. Over time, the steel naturally develops a rich reddish-brown patina that protects the grill from corrosion while giving it a bold, architectural finish.

Combined with stainless steel side panels, hood and shelving, this grill is as visually striking as it is durable.

Large Cooking Area with Flexible Setup

With a 109 × 34 cm grilling surface, the Chef XL allows you to cook for family gatherings or garden parties with ease. The grill supports two cooking grates or interchangeable accessories, giving you complete control over your setup.

A 5 mm steel grill grate ensures excellent heat retention and perfect sear marks, while the integrated skewer slots add even more versatility.

Precision Temperature & Airflow Control

Designed for serious charcoal cooking, the Chef XL includes:

  • Side ventilation holes for improved airflow
  • A stainless steel ventilation valve in the hood
  • An external thermometer (0–300 °C) for accurate temperature monitoring

Two removable stainless steel charcoal trays make refuelling and cleaning simple, whether you’re using charcoal, briquettes or self-burned wood.

Designed for Sustainability & All-Weather Use

The grill’s legs and smaller components are manufactured using production offcuts, reducing waste and environmental impact. Both Corten and stainless steel are weatherproof, meaning this grill can stay outdoors all year without storage or covers.

Delivery & Returns

Order Confirmation: As soon as you place your order, we will pre-authorise your card, however, your card will not be charged. We will then contact our supplier to confirm that the product you have purchased is available for immediate shipment. Once confirmed we will process the payment and your order will be dispatched straight away. If there is any delay such as an item which is on backorder, we will void the pre-authorisation and contact you to let you know.

Order Delivery: Once your order has been placed, assuming it is in stock and available for dispatch, we will charge your card and your order will be dispatched within 5 working days. We’ll send you tracking details by email within 24 hours of your order being dispatched. If you have not received tracking details within 6 working days, please reach out to us via email at hello@thegardenflame.co.uk so that we can help.

Damages: We ask that you thoroughly inspect all items at the point of delivery. We advise you not to accept delivery of any damaged items. If you discover that an item has been damaged, please send clear photos of the damaged items to hello@thegardenflame.co.uk so that we can open an insurance claim on your behalf.

Cancellations & Refunds: Any orders cancelled after 48 hours of placing the order may be subject to additional fees. If your order has been dispatched, you (the buyer) will be responsible for any costs associated with returning the item. Any refunds can only be issued to the same payment method which was used to place the order.
