Fontana’s story began in 1946, in Italy’s picturesque Marche region, where Giuseppe Fontana opened a humble blacksmith shop. Over time, the workshop evolved into a hub for repairing agricultural equipment—laying the groundwork for the precision and craftsmanship that would later define the Fontana brand.

In 1978, the next generation of the Fontana family transformed outdoor cooking forever by introducing the world’s first portable, indirect-combustion wood-fired metal oven. This ground breaking innovation made it possible to achieve authentic high-heat cooking with less wood, faster preheating, and greater efficiency, setting a new standard in the industry.

Now led by the third generation of the Fontana family, the company has grown into a global leader in wood-fired and gas pizza ovens, celebrated for their durability, efficiency, and uncompromising Italian quality.
